I know. I interviewed him for a paper in Kansas City. I have tried to sell the interview to interested papers in the area, but they’d rather write about quilts or whatever is happening at Bobo.
Where else can one find stand up comedy in Asheville besides The Orange Peel now that the short lived comedy club that was here closed? Inquiring minds want to know.

I kinda like demetri martin these days.
I like his delivery.
I’m showing my age. I just don’t get Demetri Martin. Those Tim and Eric guys as well.
Who are tim and eric?
What dont you “get” about demetri martin?
I guess me not getting him means that I don’t find him funny.

I don’t really “get” their show either. I just assumed that like David Lynch movies or other things that I also don’t “get,” their show must either require a higher level of cognition or the ingestion of psychotropic or hallucinogenic drugs or both that I apparently don’t have.
It’s that irony laden crap that people like now. I don’t understand it. It’s somehow not as cool to laugh and lose control and not look cool. Now something has to be silently funny to be worth merit. It’s like somebody took all of the low comedy out of the Simpsons and told people that this is the new comedy.
