What’s the most underrated neighborhood?

Everyone knows West Asheville and Montford are the established “cool” neighborhoods, but what’s the next up-and-coming hotspot? Is it still the River District? Is it Weaverville?
I’m going to make the argument that it’s the Skyland area around Long Shoals Road, largely because of the Biltmore Park development. (http://www.biltmorepark.com/ ) That whole area is basically becoming a new downtown, and I’ve been surprised at exactly how much potential the area has.
But that’s just one view. Name your favorite underrated neighborhood!

Screw that place. Prefab neighborhood for prefab people. I hope the movie theater, pf changs, the YMCA and ever house there loses all of it’s value and the gutter punks have to squat there.

Love prefab people and buildings. There’s no commitment.

We’ve already been over this Shanafelt. Drop it if you know what’s good for you:

And Jason’s absolutely right. Say, what’s the average price of a home there again? Dropping like a rock? Got it.

I loathe Biltmore Park and I was so exicted to get a movie theatre with stadium seating. I’m going to with Weaverville.

I thought chickens were a post-flood West AVL thing.

I don’t think there are any chickens left on Chicken Hill.

Deavervegas, baby. There’s an emerging DVR subculture, a “North of Patton” Allstars, if you will.

I still find it creepy over there.

I find anyone who uses “vegas” at the end of words to be boring.
The true answer is Leicester. I like it there.

Are you talking real Leicester or New Leicester Hwy before the change to two lanes? IF you continue out I don’t think it has changed much aside for adding 50 more million dollar homes to drown out the sea of singlewides. I lived out there for 10 years and won’t do it again.

God’s country.
I love people’s reaction to Leicester. It proves to me that most people don’t like poor white people.
