I agree with tatttms that every child’s unique, and our job is just to love and support them on their winding road.

At the moment, my girl wants to be a sports reporter and my boy wants to be a comic book artist. But their plans change on a dime. 

In the “life is circular” paradigm, I’ll admit to you guys that I was the advice columnist (and editor) for my 5th grade newspaper. Back then, they called me “Dear Annie.”

As long as my boys grow up to be kind, caring, and responsible, I really don’t care what jobs or careers they pursue.  The Golden Rule is what I stress the most with them.  Everything else will follow.
