My eldest boy (age 5), loves getting presents and toys, but he stashes them in special boxes and bags and what not, and keeps them in his closet. He never plays with them, for he’s afraid that if he takes them out, little brother (or someone else) will mess with them.
It’s kinda strange behavior, for sure. Once in a great while, when someone he trusts comes over (especially an adult), he will take them to his room and pull everything out to show him all of his “special things”.
He’s a weirdo, but I know where he got it from ;)
