Technically, 3-4 weeks is enough for gas to go bad. (but unlikely)

What happens when you jump it off of a car? Does it die after a few minutes or keep going? If you keep it hooked to the car?

The greatest pull on the battery comes when you crank it. I can’t imagine that if you’re able to do that then the batt can’t handle the rest.

But now that I re-read your posts, you say it ‘cranks a little’...Is it turning over and then cutting off or never actually getting going?

Also, those lil’ batteries will run down FAST if you keep trying to crank it over and over without success….

At least the ###### doesn’t seem to have any interest in motorbikes.

Also, I can confirm that a Vulcan 900 handles way better in the pouring rain than a Heritage Softail.
I had to drive from Helen, GA in the downpour TWICE (Long story short, my wife ###### up her knee big time yesterday and I had to go back for the bike today). Yes, it sucked.

still not sure ... gas is new and I have spark .... i still think there is something restricting the flow into the cylinders or the mix is off, just not a very clean firing ..... turns over slowly for about 20 seconds then stalls .... can’t give it any throttle or else it stalls .... and I don’t have time to monkey with it ....

pissing me off, wanting to ride for the next few days while working morning only ....

up date is going back in the shop in a couple of weeks .... drained the tank and started with fresh gas .... checked the filter ...and it has good spark .... i am pissed since it just came out of the shop in June or July and it will only half start with the choke pulled all the way out and it won’t run for more than 4 or 5 seconds .... it isn’t getting a clean firing .... If I spent more time with her, like I should I could probably figure it out ... If some fairly attractive, fairly wealthy woman would adopt me I could play with the motorcycle more ... working sucks

update

bike went in and had to clean the fuel system out again ....  I think they left some crap in the tank from last time .... but the word I got is that the new ethanol gas is causing fuel system problems .... I have to keep the tank filled with gas and a little stabilizer and run the engine every day .... yeah all that will happen
