Steve your thinking totally on the scientific level…

Your trying the “Explain” everything in western medical terms

Get out of your head and into your heart…

Now two questions…

1. Explain the chakra system in scientific terms

2. Do you have a life

1. Some nerve junctions fall on those same places—the solar plexis and the groin, for instance—but otherwise it’s not backed by any scientific or demonstrable proof as far as I’m aware. I can’t explain something in scientific terms that’s fundamentally not-scientific. Now you explain why modern medicine and gene therapy works in yoga terms.

2. Nice. I disagree with your assessment of allergies and yoga for clearly explained scientific reasons—trying very hard to be polite and give you the benefit of the doubt, even offering a very likely reason why you might have experienced what you claim to in provable terms—and you make a personal jab that doesn’t even relate to the subject at hand. VERY enlightened. Did you learn such tolerance from yoga, by any chance?

Your trying hard to be polite…

Earlier you called me a “Fanatic” just for recommending yoga as a way to deal with allergies?

Sorry sir I think your covering your A$$

Your taking this thread way to seriously…

All this wasted energy because someone recommended yoga to you?

You called yourself a fanatic, not me. I said ...

I don’t think you’re a fanatic, but I do suspect there’s a placebo effect happening.

When I said “Alternately, I’m sure I can find someone with a life-threatening peanut allergy who also is a yoga fanatic,” I wasn’t talking about you, nor was I being disrespectful. I could have said “enthusiast” I suppose, but what I was getting at was that yoga wouldn’t be a silver bullet for that person’s allergies.

I see your point… I understand your not calling me a fanatic

That’s Kind of a touchy place to use that word though

And sorry for my short posts

I really wasn’t expecting anyone to get defensive from receiving a suggestion to try yoga

No problem. I’m not having a go at you, and I wasn’t trying to provoke you or anything. I just need facts to take something seriously, even a home remedy.

So unbelievably corpulent over here. I can barely see the bottom-half of the screen due to my overweight eyelids.

For the first time in my life, I’m having to deal with significant allergy issues due to the MASSIVE levels of pollen here in Spartanburg. You’d think that in living in a tree-filled bowl like Asheville, it’d have come up before.

Any home remedies to help ease my pain?

hmmmm, something is fishy here.

Normally, I’m immune to the yearly onset of spring pollen, and have never had allergies or hayfever. This year, however, I’ve been miserable, and the culprit seems to be the stupid, thoughtless hordes of trees hellbent on breeding. It’s like I’ve had a moderate cold that comes and goes, my only barometer being the amount my car is covered with sticky yellow dust.

Anyone else having a similar problem?

Steve, i have lost all faith and trust in you and your word.

I usually am resilient to pollen. The last couple of years, however, that seems to have changed. This year was WAY worse than the year before, when it was just mildly annoying. It actually interfered with my life on a daily basis. I’m guessing I’ve either developed an allergy or become less resistant to an existing allergen (see parasite theory), or maybe the pollen count over the last few years has been terrible enough that it’s getting to me.

By the logical progression, next year I’ll be dead from a pollen overdose.

Here’s a potion to try…

fresh ginger and turmeric..in vodka..you can heat it in the micro to activate the roots..
makes a nice tincture..powder works too just not as good..

drink a little when it suits ya..it stimulates the immune system, dissolves the gunk and is so tasty

google it ,,you’ll like it..also takes the itch outta bug bites.
