So, I woke up in a burst of inspiration last night.

“Asheville: Choose Your Adventure.”

That’s really good, actually. You could build a whole marketing campaign around that.

“Asheville: Choose Your Adventure.”

The commercial. has pics of, Biltmore, canoeing, banjo players, people eating burritoes, belly dancing Lesbians.., forum trolls with dark circles under their eyes, 278 kinds of beer, many street performers painted white..and a statue of Asheville founding father Steve Shanafelt.

Oh and lonely men with signs “FREE the MAMS"and the requisite graphic of partially exposed bussoms…cha ching..

yeah, it works because each word implies something on its own, as well as interacting with the other words.

It speaks of personal choice (free will), Personal Fulfillment,  all sorts of outdoor possibility, as well as the urban life.

I posted it here to document it.  i expect my check any day now.

Also: Too Much Richey.

Asheville: Choose Your Adventure.

OK that’s 4 words, so I guess we are expanding it to 4 words now so…

Crazed Hippies On Dope

Drum Circle Dancers Galore

Pseudo Intellectuals Giving Advice..

More Beer Than You Can Drink..

OK that’s 6 words..

Interesting how “describe Asheville” became “create a marketing campaign.”

Sheesh. Oh well, what the hell? Might as well get in a few jabs for my former Greater Metro Home Town (*).

    Asheville:

————-The Next Aspen.

————-The Next Austin.

————-The Next Anything.

————-Get Out Now.

————-“Green” Developers Welcome.

————-Progressives Outnumbered OK.

————-Progressives Ineffective OK.

————-Home Of, Um….

————-Welcoming To Businesses.

————-Eats Its Young.

(*) Again, I was never a legal or permanent resident. So should I shut up? Yes.

Am I?

Naw.

I hate how cities are always trying to be like another city. It’s stupid! People need to just chill. I think that phrase that whoever coined: “Any way you like it” or whatever, was BAD for this town. Now all the douche bags from Florida and everywhere else are coming here. There are just too many people in the world.
