In this thread, we’ll post about things that are old that we really like. Things our elders would have had, and would probably approve of us having, too. To set a limit, nothing goes in the list that existed before after 1970, giving us a 40-ish year buffer.

I’ll start ...

Tommy-era pinball machines, for style

1957 portable Smith-Corona electric typewriter, for words

The 1969 Volkswagon Bus, for awesome

The Velvet Underground & Nico’s debut album (1967); The MC5’s Kick Out The Jams (1969); and the whole of the Beatles, The Stones and the whole of the Motown catalog up to that point.

A vintage and functioning suitcase record player, to go in the bus.

OK, your turn.

I was going to put me on the list, but I existed before 1970.

You’d qualify. I messed up the intro. It’s been fixed.

Women who don’t shave..love that woman smell ( I do believe not shaving may be back in style but I have not had a recent opportunity to verify this for sure)

Stingray Bikes

Cast iron engines..they last forever

Fresh French Fries

Girls that say no when they mean yes…I think that has fallen out of favor with the incredibly aggressive women of the new millennium, you young boys don’t stand a chance.. the cat is waaay out of the bag..

Fruit that tastes orgasmic( some fruit ya get these days is tasteless)

Have we not come to such an impasse in the modern world that we must love our enemies - or else? The chain reaction of evil - hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars - must be broken, or else we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation.

Kinda weird ... Not so much down with the “no means yes.” I like it when “yes means yes” and there’s no jail time afterwards.
