The employees of the locally owned and operated Asheville Pizza and Brewing Co. have been known for great eats, drinks and service for years.  Little known, however, is the artistic greatness hiding ‘Behind the Aprons’.  This year the annual Employee Art Show gets a new venue.  Moving from the patio and lot outside APBC, the artists now will have a proper and professional opening.  The one day event will be held at the Satillite Gallery on Biltmore Ave downtown Asheville Saturday July 11th.  The gallery will be hosting the local artists who are submitting paintings, jewelry, photography, sculpture and more from 11am-9pm.  This is an amazing opportunity for the artists, and for Asheville, to be exposed to lesser known artisans here in town.  Any more Galleries hosting this sort of event in town?  Any other businesses with similar employee showcases?

True Blue Art Supply downtown on Haywood Street has an “employee showcase” of paintings for sale up in the store all the time.  Prices range from $30 to into the hundreds, depending on the painting’s medium and size.

I highly recommend checking it out!
