Thanks for the scaremongering news story against tried-and-tested hygiene tools, KBAL 11 ...

More than 43,000 children head to the emergency room each year after slipping or falling in a bath tub, according to researchers at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

That works out to about 120 injuries in a shower or tub each day.

“Unfortunately, adult supervision isn’t enough to prevent these injuries, they happen so quickly that a parent simply can’t react quickly enough to prevent them,” said Dr. Gary Smith. “Therefore. it is important to prevent them from happening by using a slip resistant mat inside and outside the bath and shower.”

Or maybe I’m wrong, and this really is an epidemic. Bathtubs: The silent killer.

Well at least they aren’t “sexting” or playing “the choking game” anymore.

When I think of all the actual dangerous stuff I did as a kid, today’s youth seem so tame.

Have we not come to such an impasse in the modern world that we must love our enemies - or else? The chain reaction of evil - hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars - must be broken, or else we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation.

I know a few people, I’m sorry to say, who appear to be frightened of any form of bathing.

This is exactly why I always wear a helmet in the tub.

This is why you have my vote for mayor. I’ll cross state lines for you, Shad.

This just in: Your baby might be allergic to bathwater!

A group of chemists from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) has developed a method to quantify the fragrance allergens found in baby bathwater. The researchers have analysed real samples and detected up to 15 allergen compounds in cosmetics and personal hygiene products.

i dont know, mcgrumpy. the article is just saying the toxic concoctions people buy to add to the bathwater is bad for babies (not to mention adults). not water in general, although the case can also be made, merely based on the chlorine factor, not to mention all the traces prescription drugs and agricultural runoff. course, i’m wingutty.

tigers developers promised to clean their poop thoroughly for a least 40 feet through orange plastic landscaping fence before returning it to nature ... i feel very relieved since I am just down the road from the back way in to the property ...
