This is a simple thread that exists for purposes of pure nostalgia. I’ll start.

Best: Who could possibly forget the wonder that was the Thundercats’ Thundertank?

And who could forgive the terrible, expensive, dull-to-play fad known as pogs?

Kind of in the middle is the mostly crappy G.I. Joe era that gave us the cool-looking, but instantly breakable Serpentor.

Your loves and loathes?

Good Lord, toys from my chilhood are now sometimes to be found in antique stores. And that is truly depressing.

The best toy. Even better than the G.I. Joe aircraft carrier, I’d argue.

Super Powers® were after my time. I was raised on Mego™ figures.

Man, I can’t believe an ad for the very BB gun I had as a kid, the Daisy Eagle.  And it cost less than $13?  I thought I was the cat’s pajamas with that gun, having the scope and all.

Other toys?  Like Ken Hanke, they’re in the realm of antiques now.  I had a ‘spud gun’ that would shoot pellets from a potato, and of course a pair of those ‘X-Ray specs’ that teased you into thinking you could see through things (ahem, like clothes).  And I can’t forget the fun I had with the old rubber Whoopie Cushion!

I really didn’t care all that much for most toys, and instead tended to collect things like rocks and minerals, model dinosaurs, Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine, and other items (depending on my age at the time).

Oh, and I can’t forget my first bicycle: a Schwinn Tornado.  It was bad.
