Staying alive..a very important aspect of health care is rarely discussed when discussing health care reform..One relatively easy way to implement an effective health care plan is to streamline the treatment of the top 4 things that kill people…Statin drugs are cheap and have few side effects..helps prevent heart attacks and strokes..we could easily start getting these drugs into the hands of the masses..
Life-extension requires not only an awareness of mechanisms of aging, but an awareness of the most common conventional causes of death—and appropriate countermeasures.

Locals Weigh In On Healthcare Debate
Healthcare reform sparks great debate and we spoke with two locals about healthcare in this country because everyone has a story to tell about their experience with the system.
We decided to randomly pick names out of the phonebook. We found one woman with insurance and one without. Roxanne Koteles-Smith is an organic chef and author who has health insurance through her husband’s company. While she prefers not to go to the doctor or deal with insurance companies, she does have several friends who have given up their homes and life savings to pay for medical care.
“There’s a lot of people and their health is so poor, they need help and, to me, it’s not fair to measure and charge based on that. I feel the government needs to provide a bridge for them to walk across to get into a healthier place.”
Roxanne’s next door neighbor, Karen Frey, is unemployed and has Medicaid for her and her son. She does not support a government-run healthcare plan.
“For an adult to find an adult physician, a good physician, is not easy. Especially now because there’s a lot more people on Medicaid and to find a doctor is tough. The waiting lists are long.“Locals Weigh In On Healthcare Debate
