Heath Shuler is apparently one of those Blue Cross Dog Democrats, feeding at the troughs of Insurance Companies! America’s bureaucratic, wasteful, fraud-ridden health-industrial complex, only care about profits! America’s “CorporateCare” system fails on the most basic measures of health. Are the Republican & Blue Cross Democrats scaring you? Don’t believe the lies. Support Single payer, it’s the change that’ll make America healthy!

Agreed!
DemocracyNow did an excellent report this morning with Henry Waxman. Unfortunately for profit health insurers are currently spending in excess of one million dollars daily on lobbying according to a report last night and that is money the for profit insurers are not spending on healthcare, but on continuing the status quo. According to DemocracyNow reports and interviews with their guests, for profit insurers are spending one out of every three dollars they take in on excessive salaries, ceo perks, administration and lobbying.
The repugs and their cronies the blue dog dems including Shuler are continuing to pander to special interests.
If all the money spent on health-care, both in taxes and non tax payments to for profit insurers, we could easily pay for single payer health-care and then some. Whether you pay that money out of pocket to greedy bastards who are profiteering off the pain and suffering of humans, or pay it as a tax to the government, the total spent would cover all Americans!
As far as the idiotic statements by the special interest serving right wingers is concerned;
I’d rather have my health care administered by a government bureaucrat who is paid with my tax dollars and overseen by regulators, rather than by a bureaucrst paid for by for profit insurance corporations who get bonuses for saving the corporation money, such as is denied all to often fpr treatment!
Lastly; If socialized medicine is described as medicine administered and run by the government and is as bad as the repugs and blue dog nitwits make it out, WHY ARE WE FORCING IT ON OUR VETS AND ELDERLY???
GIVE US SINGLE PAYER, NOW!

I’m glad to see you support Single Payer & the logic of voting those Blue-Cross-Dog-Democrats out! Who’d rather feed at the trough of Insurance Companies, than actually do something good for the people!

For those addelpated nitwits who parrot pig-boy—“IT’S SOCIALIZED MEDICINE”
Wrong, Limbaugh-breath. Like Medicare, government doesn’t deliver the health care under a single-payer system (SPS)—you still go to your choice of doctors and hospitals.

Y’know, if I was completely against it you would totally change my mind with this well thought out and intelligent post.
No, wait. The opposite of that.

Go read Steve’s posts, you might learn something about arguments.

And argus is obviously a paid plant.

I don’t have to. I am disabled and on Social Security. I have Medicare, that socialized medicine you right wing nitwits like to hate and I LOVE IT! As far as that other pesky socialized medicine thing is concerned, That Veterans Administration medical thing…. See how many veterans are willing to give that up and fork over money to greedy for profit insurance bastards.
And OH YEAH!!!! The right wing is so despatate, they have to organize buses to disrupt town hall meetings.
You right wingers have to learn one little thing:
Elections have consequences and the people have loudly spoken! And single payer is one of those things.

It’s obvious after looking at Shuler’s voting record who exactly this Blue-Cross-Dog-Democrat represents.

Lets have a look shall we…?

H.R.11 - Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009—No
C’mon Heath why support Age or Gender Discrimination?

H.R.2701 - Intelligence Authorization Act of 2010   —No
Why wouldn’t you support Congress being briefed on Special Intelligence ops?

H.R.2454 - American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009   —No
You don’t believe in or support clean energy, do you have other interests?

H.R.1388 - ‘A bill entitled “The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, an Act to reauthorize and reform the national service laws.”  —No
Why don’t you support funds to institutions of higher education to develop or disseminate exemplary service-learning programs that assist their students’ pursuit of public service careers?

H.R.155 - Ban Taxes on Unemployment Benefits for Two Years—No
Why add to the stress of the already over stressed Heath??? Raise taxes on the wealthy not the poor & working POOR!

H.R.15 - Nationalized Health Insurance—No
Is it really fair Heath that most Americans don’t enjoy the same Health Coverage as they provide you with?

H.R.157 - Congressional Seat/Vote for DC - Increase House to 437 Seats—No
Whats wrong with giving DC a Representative, afraid too many African Americans might get a voice?

H.R.384 - Reform the Troubled Assets Relief Program (Financial and Auto Bailout)—No
Finally shame on you Heath for not demanding accountability of where America’s trillions are being spent & how after being looted by the bankers?

The above all from: http://www.congress.org

Heath Shuler looks like you’ve fumbled & dropped the ball again, when you could’ve scored a winning goal for the People of NC & The USA! We clearly see where your loyalty lays!

another place to check up on public servants is at the ACLU’s website , bottom of home page under “Congressional Scorecard

With all the screwups from Shuler and the failed policies of the repugs, maybe we can get a true independent liberal progressive elected, as both the domodorks and repugnants are polluted by special interests. From the Prison-Industrial-Congressional complex to the the for profit health insurance lackeys, both have lost touch with reality and what the people want.

I would wish for an end to the great divide and with it all political parties which, in truth, are simply coalitions with many different view points among the members.  Our own congressman is a prime example.  I voted for the guy simply because I could not in good conscience vote for the other guy. Trouble is, being a child of the North Land, I cannot stomach all this family values BS that he too espoused as if only the faithful care about their families.  Blue Dog Democrat?  What the hell is that but another name for a Republican riding a donkey?

This is the red herring you and other shills like to throw out to try to justify your arguments (which, again, I’m not completely opposed to).

So, do you need your Social Security and Medicare? Yes? Excellent, I’m pleased that you receive the assistance you require.
Do the veterans deserve the health care they receive? Yes? Actually no, the VA is a shambles and they need much better service than they’re getting.

And see, I did that without calling you a left wing libtard or whatever rhetorical childrens names you and others seem to so enjoy.
