LOS ANGELES - Kathy Griffin went the cougar route for her date to the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night.
The star brought Levi Johnston, the teenage ex-fiance of Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
The couple held hands as they walked down the red carpet at the event, set to be hosted by the Jonas Brothers.
So why did Johnston, 19, decide to come with Griffin, 48?
“She’s beautiful and funny,” he told Access Hollywood. “She’s the star of the night.”
“Miley (Cyrus), try to top this!” Griffin added.
Johnston has made a number of public appearances, including several talk show interviews, since rising to national prominence last year, when he and Bristol Palin came forward about her pregnancy during the vice-presidential run of Bristol’s mother.
I love the Kathy…But she looks freakishly different from episode to episode and when she does her stand up she looks 10 years younger and way more cuter than her day to day look.. this plays havoc on my wanting to think she’s cute.. without make up she looks freaky horsey..and as shallow as it sounds I really like to think she;s kinda cute..but when she has bad hair and no make up my fantasy is destroyed,,alright,, yea I’m a freak.. but I’m sure I’m not the only one who think this..

As for Ms. Griffins views on exotic dancers and sex-workers, she has commented on her show that she thinks strippers are “damaged.” That they’ve all been abused sexually, no “normal” (sane/real/good) woman would do that sort of thing, etc.
This attitude is ignorant, unfounded, paternalistic, and harms women (and thus harms humanity) in general. The thought that women cannot freely choose to express their sexuality, especially in a way that violates the perceived mores of middle-class society, and make that a vocation, that if they do this the must be diminished or damaged, operating under some form of extraordinary coercion or false consciousness, is asinine and well, wrong.
Other than that, she is pretty funny.
Are you saying you know some well-adjusted strippers and sex workers? Cuz the few i’ve known in my life are kinda ###### up. Actually, i dont know if i’ve known any sex workers, but i have known more than a few girls who strip and i’m pretty sure they were all pretty lame.
I mean, i see your point, in theory, but in practice, i see kathy’s point (or at least what you say is kathy’s point).
I mainly like kathy in that trashy pop sense, and i appreciate that that is all she is going for. I’m also a HUGE fan of that Paula Abdul reality show on E (?) from a few years ago. That actually got me in to realty teevee shows in the first place.

I don’t think I know anybody well-adjusted. I don’t think we live in a well-adjusted universe. Of the few sex workers (exotic dancers included) I know, none of them seem so messed up that they would throw the curve.
