Please, please, please let this be true! Dream ticket for 2012: Ron Paul & Sarah Palin on the Libertarian ticket vs. some GOP stooges vs. Obama & Biden.

Sadly, this is just speculation after Palin’s recent speech in Asia, where she said basically everything a bunch of regulation-hating businesspeople would want to hear.

“The speech was wide-ranging, very balanced, and she beat all expectations,” said Doug A. Coulter, head of private equity in the Asia-Pacific region for LGT Capital Partners.

“She didn’t sound at all like a far-right-wing conservative. She seemed to be positioning herself as a libertarian or a small-c conservative,” he said, adding that she mentioned both Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher. “She brought up both those names.”

Still, though. Wouldn’t it be awesome if she became the new Bob Barr?

I think it would be more awesome if she was put in jail forever after it was revealed she had been the ringleader of a human trafficking circle between Alaska and Russia in order to obtain free babysitting and maid services for her 23 children and their 17 grandkids.

According to several reports, a number of attendees at her speech in Hong Kong got up and “walked out in disgust.”

As for 2012, I’m hoping for a Sarah Palin/Michelle Bachman ticket.  I’ll happily contribute to such a campaign.

If she stands any chance of winning in 2012, it won’t be with the Republican party, in my opinion. She wouldn’t receive the nomination because the only way she knows how to play is by talking trash, slandering her opponents, and telling lies, which I don’t think she would get away with. She certainly won’t win the nomination by out debating her Republican peers, and by the time it’s all said and done, I bet the Repubs would disown her.  Either way, it will be fun to watch.

You really shouldn’t be disparaging core values of the Republican base like that.

Ahh, my apologies.  I forgot that their voter base isn’t supposed to realize they are being fed misinformation charged by fear and rage.

That number was two, apparently. Two. Like one more than one. Now, unless there were only between three and five attendees to the speech, that’s not so hot.

There are a lot of interesting things about all this, though. The New York Times piece ignores the walkout entirely while the Huffington Post plays it up and, as usual, Andrew Sullivan is spewing venom.

Sullivan also spews venom about Chomsky and was given a free pass on a drug bust recently, so take all that with a grain of salt.

Anyway, Sullivan does not seem to be playing fair with how he writes this up. His post today reads:

An audience member tweeted Palin's neocon-controlled-and-ghost-written speech in Asia. This is a great piece of detail...

And then he proceeds to quote from the Huffington Post piece about the walkout but, unless you check the links, he is presenting that as what was tweeted from the speech. I read the twitter feed and this wasn’t mentioned. In fact, the twitter feed from the speech is fairly banal.

He’s either being stupid or malicious. Well, he could be both but who knows?

All this reminds me that people like Sullivan actually get paid for this kind of lazy crap. Is the Xpress certain they don’t need a national affairs correspondent or media critic?

“That number was two, apparently. Two.”

The scant mention of this I found did not even give a number.  Two people walking out is no more than would be stricken with a sudden case of the trots in most any event, so two is not too impressive.

“The speech was wide-ranging, very balanced, and she beat all expectations,” said Doug A. Coulter, head of private equity in the Asia-Pacific region for LGT Capital Partners.

She beat all expectations because she read some bullshit speech written by an upper 1 per cent pawn propaganda specialist..If she would have been left to her own devises she would have shit all over her self per usual.

“She didn’t sound at all like a far-right-wing conservative. She seemed to be positioning herself as a libertarian or a small-c conservative,” he said, adding that she mentioned both Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher. “She brought up both those names.

I would say she might be positioning herself for a run at the presidency but..I’d love to say even the puppet masters don’t think we’re THAT stupid..but then again I think they do” We just might be some of the most stupid mass hypnosis Bozo masses in the history of the the world..I am ashamed we even have conversations about this half witted spokes model..we need a better class of lying sack of shit manipulative politician..we really deserve better.

Sullivan hates Palin, though, and that’s nothing new. He’s been one of her strongest critics from day one.

Is there a video of this speech? Is there a transcript of this speech? There was not a question and answer session after the speech and all media was barred from the ballroom. And if she was not paid $300,000 to sparkle the audience with her speechifying, how much was she paid?

It all amounts to a hill of beans.
