North Carolina Beaches.

Heading to Sunset Beach this weekend.  Do you guys go to NC beaches or are you hoity toity douches?

When I was a wee little catastrophe (more a fiasco, I suppose), the family would take trips to Carolina Beach. They never took me. Be sure to get a table at Big Daddy’s - mom said it was great.

Of course, now I am a hoity-toity douche who is about 15 minutes from one the nation’s sexiest beaches according to Maxim.

i prefer the west coast.

Yes, I also prefer the SC beaches, but only the hoity-toity enclaves such as Hilton Head Island and certainly not the horrid hoi polloi places like Myrtle Beach.

Recently went to Cape Fear..near Wilmington..very nice..went scuba diving with 10 foot sharks..very scary..but the dive master said they were perfectly safe…right..

While I was at the beach, a local business owner (the comic book store guy in Shalotte, NC) told me that Disney had bought a gigantic tract of land in Brunswick county and were planning on building a theme park there.

I’ve tried googling it, but I can’t come up with anything. According to him it’s tied in with the Mouse’s aborted Virginia theme park from a few years back. Has anyone else heard that rumor?
