You might have a chewing problem forever, especially with the Jack Russell in the mix. I have a full bred JRT- he’s gotten better with the chewing. Loves underwear. The breeder told me that yes, puppies will chew, but as an adult, the dog will chew when bored. I’ve noticed my Jack loves toilet paper and cardboard in the afternoon, like tea, when he hasn’t been walked. Hyper little bastard, needs lots of exercise or else he gets destructive. Of course, he devours chew bones, and then pukes…..

Edgy Mama- I need help with the territorial barking. I know my dogs are doing what they are supposed to do- “protect the homestead!”- but it makes me insane!

Never mind trouble with puppies! Try typing when you got a cat in your lap who wants to sit at the keyboard! :0 LOL

Yeah….. I almost named my doggie bandit as he LOVES to steal things.. My things… to chew on them..

gosh.. you know you have come into a dog owner’s home when half the stuff has bite marks on it.

I’m sure as he gets older and become an adult he’ll stop all the chewing..

Let it be known that you cannot trust puppies to NOT chew!!! That’s just what they do.. it’s cuz they are cuttting their teeth.. Their teeth are growing in and it’s not comfortable so they chew things.

your dog chews underwear too fire? I thought it it was just mine.

Good god! Now my CAT is chewing the pencils in my pencil cup… oh, my god! This is contagious!!

I’ve heard of the citronella collar, I’m thinking of definitely getting it, IF i can find it.. Oh, dear. i went into a pet shop yesterday and forgot to look for that!

Mine is barking its head off! I think its cuz my dog is lonely. Won’t bark if I’m outside with my dog, but when left alone, gets very anzy and starts barking like no tomorrow.

Yes, it’s driving me crazy too!

What I was going to start a thread in.. was IS THERE ANY GOOD PLACES TO TAKE YOUR DOG FOR OBEDIENCE CLASSES THAT ARE GOOD & NOT TOO EXPENSIVE!

Please don’t suggest PetsSmart. They keep the dog in a tiny little enclosure and the training is NOT that good!

Or better yet.. do you know of a GOOD website that is basically all about training your dog?

Don’t suggest google to me. I never can bring up anything I need when I google…just gives me all sorts of odd stuff not related to what I’m looking for!!!

zWell, I just looked up that website that someone posted and good gosh, they got what looks like a great product and Its’ only $28!

“The Ultrasonic Bark Control unit controls indoor barking and no collar is needed!
MORE DETAILS!
Item #PBC-1000
Regular Price: $44.99
Our Price: $28.95

Hmmmmm… that sounds pretty good.. no need to put a collar on him… there is also a birdhouse you can put outside to deter them from barking!

Not sure I want to use the outside collar though.. We have deer coming round here all the time.

Stupid neighbors insist on feeding the deer and ONCE AGAIN its destroying our garden! :(

How dogs would it take to deter deer from coming near your property? I wonder…...
