Does anyone who was at the meetup remember the details of the story Bugg told about Tim Peck? Something about police brutality?

From what I could decipher of the hearsay from my hiding place, he said something about him mouthing off to tha police and getting the stuffing beat out of him and then suing the city for enough money to retire to Asheville or something like that. I was dodging a lot knees while crouched under the adjoining table.

I am a native US citizen, though not native to WNC, which is what I thought Steve was referring to in his post.

But speak Italian to me and I will be anyone you want me to be, from anywhere in the universe…. If you serve wine and a meal worthy of a Tuscan farmhouse….well, never mind. I think I’m blushing. Must be the rainy days that make me yearn for Tuscany.

Interesting.  I was just thinking as I eat my homemade sugo bianco which is a great compliment to the Strozzapreti alla Florintina, man, how nice it would be to share this meal with somebody.  That was right before I dug into the scrumptious cenci.  Oh well. La forse prossima signora di fuoco di tempo possiamo piacere questo bel pasto.

I think it is funny that Tim is supporting Cape when he is also being called a leading contender for a write in upset.

I think Tim Peck would make an excellent balance to the crazy liberals on City Council and I support him in his bid for City Council as a write in candidate - even if he isn’t really running.

He doesn’t need them. He just needs a vocal group of grassroots supporters to show him the same love he has shown Cape, for whatever reasons he might be showing that love.

I think that once the Real Conservatives of Asheville realize who their only friend is they will be more than happy to write in Tim Peck for City Council.

Huh - that’s odd.  I’m pretty on the up & up of local political talk & this is the first time I’ve heard of Tim being a possible write-in candidate.  He certainly has made no public announcement of such.

Personally I think it is great that Tim is able to sit on the fence & see potential and valuable insights in both liberal & libertarian candidates.

Please develop this statement. How’d he get enough respect from the left to remain envoweled on ScruHoo?

When Tim Peck came on the Asheville Political scene, I was upset. I couldn’t understand how Asheville could tolerate someone with his radical ideas about energy, the environment and a juvenile obsession with a fictional book. ...

With that span of time now passed, I have changed and I could indeed vote for Tim Peck. But that is because Tim Peck has changed too. Coming from a background of quasi-libertarian political activism, Peck has transformed into a seasoned, open-minded local legislator who well understands the mechanics of public advocacy, reasoned deliberation and the limitations of government action. And securing a place for a True Conservative on Council is ever important with the crazy Liberal Nutjobs all these new-comers are voting for.

However, anyone wishing to cast a vote for Tim Peck must write his name on the ballot in November.

State law allows for last-minute write-in candidates in a nonpartisan race, which that communist Robin Cape tried to fool us into losing with her Partisan Power Grab.

Asheville’s elections are nonpartisan; thanks to Tim Peck’s Let Asheville Vote referendum that decided the question by the consent of a majority of citizens rather than by a majority vote of a biased seven-member City Council, who seek to Communalize everything we have worked hard for, or potentially won lawsuits in order to gain.

Ironically, Robin Cape originally opposed the Let Asheville Vote referendum. But she will understand the importance of protecting voters’ rights and the right of citizens of any affiliation to run for public office, when you write in Tim Peck for City Council.
