So true…In fact one of the main causes of brain injury in the country is horse shoes..not directly from the sport..it’s the excessive beer drinking that is often accompanied and encouraged by the participants…

Interesting trivia: More participants drop dead from playing horseshoes than do so in triathalons and competitive eating combined. Often the sudden death occurs following the high intensity and stress that precedes a successful throw of a horseshoe or quoit so as to encircle the stake or peg. This has since become known as a “dead ringer.”

I really don’t get it..When one of our great national past times causes mild to severe brain damage to it’s participants..It makes me ashamed to be an American..You don’t see the Chinese banging heads together like goats, wasting their time and brain cells..Christ I wish this country would get civilized..

Help me here..am I feeling a deep anger about this topic..I know some folks are addicted to guys banging their heads against each other while drinking beer. It seems absurd to me..

Are folks really willing to sacrifice the health of their children and professional athletes for a little thrill on a monday night??? guess so..
