Boredom, insomnia, anger…the standard maladies that bring most to online forums I suspect. Funny story, I was actually here in the beginning to argue with some schlub about poetry slams, there weren’t many people here and I just forgot about it for a year or so. That’s not a funny story.
No it isn’t.
Being one of the most tenured posters here on the forums, provide the audience with your perspective on the evolution or maybe devolution of the forums.
People come and go. People say stupid things. Jason Ross Martin shows up every now and then to tell us how awesome his horrible horrible music is. Cullen and Thomas are always lurking. I heard Travelah got swallowed by a whale, or maybe that was just a seaman’s story?
I’ve found I am a better boarder when I don’t read or respond to a post over say 200 words. I’ve always thought that if you can’t say it in an online forum in under a page of text you should probably go home, no one wants to read your manifesto. Having said that I don’t think my technique has changed that much
People who are so convinced that they are right and so insecure that they cannot take a well-pointed jab and end up pissing themselves with indignation. See any of Jason Ross Martins posts for examples.
Because I am an emotionally healthy adult I eschew such piffle. That said if Tim Peck were to ever grow a pair and show up here I’d enjoy trolling him.
