If you couldn’t live in Asheville, where would you like to live?

Kinda harsh, don’t you think? The man just wants his weed and elected officials who represent his interests (in weed, presumably).

Not harsh at all. He wants to show contempt for this place, then it will be contempt that he is shown in return.

No, but I’m sick and tired of bible thumpers and right-wing nuts trying to tell me how to live my life and being “represented” by retrogressive inbreds such as Shuler and Burr! The whole south is stuck on stupid, and I’m getting outa here.

yep, not to mention he just called us all stupid.

Yo! BusGreg!

Go ahead and run. Let the people who actually give a shit stay and make this a better place. People like you are just leeches anyways, always whining about how others have it so much better instead of trying to change their here-n-now to reflect their ideals. If you really cared you’d stay and fight.

And do you actually feel represented by the ‘progressive’ politicians? If so, you’re actually more ignorant than your posts imply.

I hope a west coast bible thumper (because, guess what? those annoying christian fascists aren’t just relegated to the southern states) steals all your weed and then opens a baby jesus theme park next to your house.

Oh, and don’t let the barn door hit you on the way out.

All of us failed to match our dreams of perfection. So I rate us on the basis of our splendid failure to do the impossible.

Wait, I forgot we are a blue state with a female Democrat governor, make it 60%.

(Boy, could you imagine living in a state that keeps electing a misogynistic GOP governor and passes regressive laws like Proposition 8?, Yikes.)

Steve, nice new avatar. I’m leaving this area not because of “weed’ but for the other reasons stated. Since Pres. O. got elected the true south has come to the forefront. Just see the idiocy that preceded his address to school children, the phony arguments made against health insurance reform and the tea baggers comparing the president to Hitler, just to name a few.
A number of polls have shown that the tea bagger - birther - deather movement is strongest in the south, and in sheer numbers also in the minority when compared to the rest of the country. I’m not going to waste my time in this area any longer, the only regret is that I am leaving a couple of good friends behind.
As far as religion is concerned, yes I am an atheist, but that gives nobody the right to give me grief. Since quite a few of the bible thumpers have taken it upon themselves to “save” me and are to this day harassing me over it I stand by each and every word I said.
As far as the go ###### myself comment is concerned, all I have to say is; LIMITED VOCABULARY!
Good bye and good riddance to this place!

The governator is termed out and can’t be re-elected and he will most certainly be replaced by a progressive. (Gray Davis was recalled due to the budget and the republican Arnold made it worse.)
As far as prop 8 is concerned, it doesn’t affect me and will most likely be repealed before too long.

Go away. Try not to drown in the Mississippi along the way.

Oh since Prop 8 doesn’t affect you then it’s irrelevant. I’m glad your ideals are only limited to your personal interests.

Don’t bitch and moan about being attacked when you come into a thread and trash the south. Hint: A lot of us are southerners.

And what tat said.

oh. that place with a massive military naval base and just a little down the road from one of the most conservative counties in the country, the OC!

i mean, i could see if you were from the bay, or anywhere in norcal, but socal, san diego? you’d prefer that to wnc? really? wow.

SD County went Obama 54-45 with 1% going to other candidates. WNC also went blue, and so did NC.

What originally brought you to WNC?

You asked where I was from, not where in CA I was going. I know that SD is a conservative county.
