My wife is really into knitting—and quite good at it—so she’s dragging me along with her to the Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair this weekend to look at wool, wool-related products and probably sheep for all I know.
We’re planning on going to the thing on Saturday, and I’m hoping we can make “Surface Designing With Felt,” so I can tell everyone that it’s really about me, The ‘Felt, and how I design things.
By any chance, slim though it may be, is anyone else going to this thing? It costs a whole $3 to attend.
Does that mean you won’t be at the Orange Peel Sunday night because you will be all knitted out? Or Felt up?
No, I won’t be there. Elliston offered me tickets, but I really don’t want to make that drive twice in a weekend. Plus, I already know what’s best in WNC: You guys are!
In addition to the great teachers we have every year, we are proud to welcome Kathleen Taylor and Rita Buchanan joining us as featured artists. Kathleen is the author of “Yarns to Dye For”, “Knit One, Felt Too”, “I Heart Felt” and “The Big Book of Socks” (coming out Sept. 2009). - Rita Buchanan has been spinning for decades, and is the author of “Socks”, “A Dyer’s Garden, from Plant to Pot”, “A Weaver’s Garden, Growing Plants for Natural Dyes and Fibers” and “Dyes from Nature”. Don’t miss the exciting opportunity to take one of Kathleen’s and Rita’s workshops!
OMG, we all need T-shirts made up with that on them right now!
