Please tell me (and other people who may be reading the forum) about Oteen. I know it has the VA, and there is/was a video store out there with a cowhide motif. Beyond that, I know nothing of its merits or flaws. I crave enlightenment.

This won’t help at all.  I’ve lived down Riceville Road for 5 years now, which is at the start of the heart of Oteen.  After all this time, I still don’t know what Oteen is.  I’ve tried turning down the streets off of 70 to investigate, but they either lead me back to 70 or to Riceville.
The video store has now closed, but there is an Ingles.

So, what you’re telling me is that exactly half of what I thought I knew about Oteen is wrong.

Is Oteen an actual place or just a “community” like, say, Balfour or Mountain Home that only exists on maps but has no physical boundaries that can plainly be seen by casual, human observation?

Also, what the hell is an Oteen? It brings to mind the name of a forgettable 90s boy band or maybe a nutritious, chocolate drink mix.

Everything Breebs asks, I would also like to know about.

Did you know that the VA hospital recently had a pole-dancer (clothed) as entertainment for the troops?

Well, I would, but the thought of you reacting to that is hilarious, so I won’t.

Oteen has a few good merits, but they are all crammed into the same little shopping center: Pomodoro’s, Ultimate Ice Cream, and that bar & grill I can’t remember the name of.

Oteen’s slogan is “Oteen is Neeto!”

Which is far better than Sylva’s “Sylva is Avlys” slogan.

Arden spent a lot of money coming up with “Too far, Arden, we nedrar afoot” as a palindromic slogan, but later found out that nedrar was not actually a word and tabled the project.

They were envious of “A man, a plan, a canal, Panama”

Grub nat raps: Spartanburg. It kinda works. Better if there was a logo of a rapping nat grub, though.
