Personally, I think the Norse have the best gods. They fight and die and are basically greedy jerks most of the time. And then they all die, come back to life and start it all up again.
But there are plenty of pantheons. What’s your favorite and why?
i’ working on it. i dont know if you or bugg is the zues-like guy.
bobaloo would be kinda like one of the main gods sidekicks who thought he was more powerful than he really was, but could still zap you down and take your woman back to Boarder Mountain for a night of romp and whisky. (duh, where shad lives, seeing all)
I’d like to think my banning and mod-making abilities count for something in this equation. I was also the first poster. But that may make me more of a Saturn-like figure than a Zeus-like one. Although, if I’m Zeus, Bugg is clearly Heracles.
you are uotu, all seeing but not willing to meddle int he affairs of mortals much. bugg is zeus because he’s fat and lecherous and drunk. shad over-sees all, but is even less meddlesome than felty. tatu is the rebble angel, banished from mount Boardus for bringing a bic lighter to the mortals.. glo lady is one of the delusional dogs wandering the trash heap for scraps of veganaise.
For all you google challenged folks at home..I don’t know what they’re saying either..
Polytheism is belief in, or worship of, multiple gods or divinities. The word comes from the Greek words poly+theoi, literally “many gods.” Most ancient religions were polytheistic, holding to pantheons of traditional deities, often accumulated over centuries of cultural interchange and experience. The belief in many gods does not preclude the belief in an all- powerful all-knowing supreme being. In polytheistic belief systems, gods are conceived as complex personages of greater or lesser status, with individual skills,
1. Pantheon A circular temple in Rome, completed in 27 b.c. and dedicated to all the gods.
2. A temple dedicated to all gods.
3. All the gods of a people considered as a group: Jupiter is head of the Roman pantheon.
4. A public building commemorating and dedicated to the heroes and heroines of a nation.
5. A group of persons most highly regarded for contributions to a field or endeavor: the pantheon of modern physics.
