Is this new, or am I just starting to see it in my neck of the woods (West Asheville)? I’ve gotten a lot of panicked messages from friends recently asking me to take down any flyers that are on lampposts in my neck of the woods because venues are now being fined $100 per flyer - I’m not necessarily opposed to keeping lampposts clean (especially since the people who hang up flyers rarely take them down) but it seems odd that the city would all of a sudden make this a priority after years of not caring.

Well, if the city does make a big deal over it i hope they include freakin’ Yard Sale signs.  Nothing worse than “Saturday, 8am ‘till ?” yard sale sign that was for last week.  I hope they fine them too.

On the same subject, the Biofuel company asked us to remove our “This house heats with Biofuel” sign because they were going to get fined for having it up too long or out of season or something.
