Does anyone here in Asheville have a folding bike? I’m thinking of buying one, but the closest folding bike shop is in Greenville, SC.  Thanks for letting me know!

When I was, oh maybe 11 or 12, I briefly had a folding bike. I was blasting down a steep, rocky country road at about 90 miles an hour (or so it seemed) and the front wheel hit a big rock or something. Next thing I knew, I went over the handlebars and my face plowed more rocks. Which was GOOD because the now riderless bike SLAMMED into a tree sideways and the frame folded.

I got by with scrapes and a bloody nose. The bike was totaled.

Folding bikes? No thank you.
