Nice one, albeit a tad depressing.
Blame my wicked backache. Cobain’s whining voice always makes me feel just that much more lethargic and hopeless. It’s a downward spiral.
My immediate question is, does the back-pain imply pain-pills? because THAT would probably be what gravitates you to Kurt’s songs.

If by pain pills you mean a wicked dose of three Advil, then yes. I think Cobain was on slightly harder stuff, though.
On the bright side, today (and much of yesterday) it was “I want you back” by the Jackson 5. Here’s why:

Carol Channing singing “Henry Nilson’s “Skidoo”. I challange you to listen and NOT have it in your head for days…
“...skidoo, skidoo, the only thing that matters is with who…”
Here’s another skidoo to check out. Asheville’s own Secret Agent 23 Skidoo (aka Cactus from GFE). It’s a catchy song.

The scary thing is I was able to conjure that up from my junior high days, and I only ever heard it on the radio. (It’s your honesty, your honesty, yeah-yeah)
So I purged it with “sold-motel”- John Cale

Chronic pain, physical or mental, is depressing all by itself. I wouldn’t blame the drugs.

Not Fade Away, from some Grateful Dead bootleg of my roommate’s. I’m in hell.

Not being a Dead fan, I’m not sure about that one, but I love the Stones’ version.

In anticipation of The Dark Knight I downloaded Prince’s “Batman” soundtrack.
Now I wish I hadn’t.

Damn you! I watched that movie yesterday, and now it’s stuck in my head. The song makes no sense, but it’s got its evil hooks into my brain and I can’t get it unstuck.
I think I’ve got it solved, though. Nothing can out-stick Grandaddy’s “AM 180.” Talk about annoyingly catchy.
See?
