For me it was watching my cats fight with each other. Funny stuff.

Today I read this on Wikipedia about “Life Goes On” star Chris Burke:

In a published interview dated October 7, 1992, Burke told People Magazine: “I don’t mind black people, except when they come close. They scare me. You can’t tell what they’re feeling because their faces are dark.” In an effort to mitigate the damage, producers introduced a black girlfriend for Corky, played by Down syndrome actress Patricia Marks. Burke, however, refused to play his role, and producers quickly withdrew the character. The following season, a white actress was hired to portray Corky’s girlfriend, and the two characters married during the final season of “Life Goes On”.

My girlfriend was horrified that he said it, and said that she hopes he gets some help with it. I responded to her that Burke’s wild racism was the least of his troubles.

I then laughed as she told me I was going to hell.

Last thing that made me laugh?  My pups antics on our daily walk.  She stole a tennis ball and proudly carried it in her mouth all the way home.  We have four balls, at latest count, that she expertly ferreted out of the bushes or off the street where some hapless kid or dog left it.

Local comedian Greg Brown talking about that wicked tall basketball player from UNCA and how he loves D & D and comic books. Sounded like my kind of guy. For a giant, I mean.

Yesterday my girlfriend introduced me to the champion of a professional wrestling league in Cherokee. He is this huge Indian dude. After he left I told her that I thought it was cool that I met the fake fighting champion of the local warrior race.

I then laughed for 10 minutes.

I had a few good laughs watching Californication on dvd last night. The show is raunchy as hell, but funny.
