I never rally warmed up to Hillary, great bone of contention around here with my wife. I also don’t care much for Bill though he is certainly a smart guy, well educated, well spoken, but a tad too centrist for me, I’ve discovered. I paid little attention to his administration, to be truthful, but after the fact, when I became aware of NAFTA and his support for it..what to say, I’m a union man and feel NAFTA has been a big disappointment.
As for choosing Hillary as VP, have no clue why she would want it. Expectations would be that she might hold a lot of sway in the White House. No way would this serve an Obama presidency. Though Biden has run for the office twice (?) I don’t see him as possessing the same naked lust for power. He will serve in the post with distinction and keep his disagreements with Obama behind closed doors. Not sure the Clintons could be trusted to do that. It would be in her heart and the hearts of her avid supporters to have her called Madam Co-President.
In any case, give Bill a top cabinet post if you like but keep Hillary in the Senate where she will shape up to be a major force to be reckoned with. Be nice to see her replace Casper Milquetoast (Harry Reid) as majority leader. Be nice to see Bill smiling at foreign dignitaries and helping to rebuild our reputation with our allies.
