The dog is a 14# mini rat terrier, could be my dog’s brother, their faces are very similar but he has erect ears, mine, droop.  I had to laugh at the owner’s remark regarding his wife.  I have the same concerns about my wife’s reaction should I be, in any way, responsible for ours being hurt of killed.  Of course I too would be devastated.
