When white kids started saying “Mos Def’ a few years ago.
That really burned my biscuit.
Raaaacisst.
I wasnt aware that “burns my biscuit” was a racist slur. I can see how it might be construed that way. My apologies, although I blame brebro for starting this outrageous epithet.

I’m allowed to use the term biscuit, because of my heritage linking me to flour magnate, Martha White.
It’s a Martha White thing, you wouldn’t understand.

You know, one thing that really bugs me? People born and raised around here who say “You guys” instead of “Y’all.”
Actually, “You guys” in and of itself bugs me, but I’ll forgive those “not from around here” who don’t know any better. ;)

Xpress will probably change its terms of use to require all registrants to study this thread and agree not to use any of the offending terms found here or violate any noted syntactical edicts. Plus there’ll be a quarterly exam to ensure retention of the precepts of proper parlance.

Just what I needed, another test. As if I didn’t take a lot of those after my wife left me.

On some forums, using annoying phrases—particularly internet memes—can get you banned. Something Awful used to autoban people who wrote “What?” as a stand-alone post. (It also launched the W-Hat griefer group, which helped to make Second Life the butt of internet humor for most of 2007.)

The idea is good, maybe just changing the term would work.
How about “dirt nap notes?”

I think anytime someone gives a long winded response we should say that they’ve Bowened it, or JasonRossMartined it.
