Asheville certainly has more street performers per capita income than most places, and i love it!

I too like that we have a lot of street performers, but it’s really annoying when some of them--almost always musicians--are rude when you don’t tip them.

I find it vaguely ridiculous that some guy or girl who can barely play the guitar better than myself--if not worse--becomes indignant that I don’t tip them.

I’ve got some questions about street performing that I wonder if anyone’s thought about or has tried and knows more about local ordinances and whatnot.

If I put money into a parking meter...can I perform in that parking space for as long as I’ve got money?
