Pack 100 Cub Scouts to host flapjack fundraiser

(ASHEVILLE, N.C.)—The Apple Gold Group, a franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar, is proud to partner with the Pack 100 Cub Scouts to host a Flapjack Fundraiser on Saturday, September 7, 2013. All proceeds raised will be used to fund the group’s upcoming trip to USS Yorktown in Charleston, SC.

“This motivated group of Cub Scouts is in need of assistance to fund their trip to USS Yorktown,” said Michael Olander, President and CEO of the Apple Gold Group. “Please show your support for these driven young men at a tasty pancake breakfast September 7th.”

Pack 100 Club Scouts fundraiser will be hosted by the Applebee’s restaurant located 115 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC, starting at 8 a.m. Tickets for the Flapjack Fundraiser are $7 and can be purchased by contacting John Cook at (828) 206-1414. Breakfast includes a short stack of pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.

Applebee’s is proud to partner with local nonprofit organizations as a way to raise money for their cause. From ticket sales to event-day staff, the breakfasts are managed by the nonprofit organization with the assistance of Applebee’s employee volunteers. Breakfasts can be held on Saturday or Sunday morning, and cost the organization around $2 a meal. The Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraisers represent one of the company’s efforts to remain active within its local neighborhood.
