Uncounted: The New Math of American Elections (NR)
Genre: Documentary
Directed by: David Earnhardt
Starring:

“I’m trying to put together a popular-oriented book, and as a preliminary I’ve been listing the different ways the election was stolen in Ohio. At this moment I’m at 36, so I expect to get to about 50,” remarks journalist Harvey Wasserman early in David Earnhardt’s Uncounted, a new documentary that questions the legitimacy of the 2004 presidential election. Among the topics examined are long lines, too few voting machines, ballot problems, barriers to registering, voter intimidation, voting machine failure, poll observers banned from polls—and the list goes on. Destined to be dismissed out of hand as liberal propaganda by some on the right, the film nonetheless makes a compelling case that’s worth listening to, even if you think you already know the answers.

Uncounted: The New Math of American Elections will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Fine Arts Theatre. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker.
