Four years in and the Blog Awards are becoming a bona fide Asheville tradition. This year, the big party happens on Friday, Oct. 30, the night before Halloween, earning it the name Spookyblogapaloozananny.
The online ballot is up, votes are pouring in and bloggers are already making deals to win your vote. From “Best Writing” to “Blogger You’d Most Like to Have a Beer With” to the always-classy “Blogger You’d Like to See Naked,” there are enough categories to flummox even the bloggiest among us. Another change this year, Twitter-ers are also up for your consideration.
Then, don your Halloween best and come out to the Pump Gallery at the Phil Mechanic Building on Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. for the big event. The $10 cover benefits AHOPE and entertainment includes juggling, comedy and music from Albatoss Party and It’s Elephants.

my first years in school were in marion nc,we walked to school from 1st grade on,,we left the house walked down a half mile driveway,,went up accross the railroad tracks down the other side to the river,we skipped stones over the water and up the hill through the swamp,,after the swamp there was this old cementary with civil war age gravesmm..it was kinda spooky but then we went through an open pasture ,onto the road down the hill to east marion elementary ...many times then during winter the snow drifts were several fett,,but never ten…this was everyday school travel till the end of fourth grade,,, |

Well now you know Jeff walked at least ten miles to and fro through 9 to 10 months of slow, sleet and hail. Just you wait, he’ll let us all know (yet again) about his heroic life…and because of this one should never question his motives or agenda. |
