In the post-Great Recession economic recovery, average workers are losing out, while corporate profits appear bigger than ever before, according to a study done by the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. The report: "The “Jobless and Wageless” Recovery from the Great Recession of 2007- 2009: The Magnitude and Sources of Economic Growth Through 2011 I and Their Impacts on Workers, Profits, and Stock Values."
Hundreds of local residents gathered at Pack Square to voice their solidarity with the unions in Wisconsin on Saturday, Feb. 26. One of similar events being held in all 50 states, the rally was coordinated by MoveOn.Org and endorsed by 30 organizations, such as the Sierra Club and the Campaign for Community Change.
