Buncombe’s Workforce Housing Policy

Buncombe County’s Workforce Housing Policy, passed April 15, 2008, allows $2,500 to $5,000 per unit in low- or no-interest loans to developers building housing for people making 80 to 140 percent of the median income. The policy is intended to help Buncombe County’s workers and professionals deal with the rising cost of living.
