Tags:Developments in South Asheville and Tunnel Road are up for consideration at tomorrow night's Asheville City Council meeting, along with (of course) the city's ongoing budget crunch.
Council will vote on the Asheville Market project, a commercial and restaurant development located near the Asheville Mall, and the Palisades, a 224-unit apartment complex located in South Asheville on Mills Gap Road.
Meanwhile, Council will discuss the city's ongoing budget crunch, including the effects of state legislation that could lose the city significant amounts of revenue, at a 3 p.m. work session before the meeting. Last week, members of the public attending a town hall in South Asheville endorsed a property tax increase and some cuts to close the gap.
Asheville City Council meets at 5 p.m., April 23, on the second floor of City Hall. The 3 p.m. budget work session is in the first floor conference room.
